Star® Roses and Plants Roses on Display at 2025 Pasadena Showcase Gardens

For Immediate Release

The Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts includes 12 Star® Roses and Plants rose varieties in the 2025 design. This marks the 60th anniversary of the home and garden design event. Designer Chia-Ming Ro (Coastal Homestead) led the design and installation of rose shrubs and trees from the Knock Out®, Drift® and Bloomables® brands.

1. Coral Knock Out®
The unique coral color of this rose is even stronger in hot, humid climates. It blooms from spring through fall and maintains an upright to rounded habit. Young foliage is bronze-red.

2. Double Knock Out®
From the same cross that produced the original Knock Out®, Double Knock Out® represents the next generation in The Knock Out® Family of Roses. The full, double flowers look just like a classic rose. It is as resistant to black spot as the famous original, has the same bloom cycle, and is slightly more winter hardy.

3. Pink Double Knock Out®
A bright, bubble gum pink version of Double Knock Out® that is very stable and unfazed by the heat. Classically shaped flowers bloom from early spring to the first frost. This plant has superior drought tolerance once established.

4. Peach Drift®
One of the most floriferous dwarf shrubs available, Peach Drift® pairs well with existing perennials in any landscape and exhibits strong disease resistance. Soft peach blooms cover the plant from mid-spring to the first hard freeze of late fall.

5. Popcorn Drift®
This variety has soft, buttery yellow blooms that fade to a creamy white. Popcorn Drift®
Is a continuous bloomer that flowers all season and pairs effortlessly with other plants.

6. Apricot Candy™
The ruffled apricot petals on this pretty rose contrast beautifully with its soft green foliage. It performs well on both the East Coast and West Coast with above average disease resistance. Displayed as a tree rose in design garden.

7. Dee-lish®
A tall Hybrid Tea Rose with a strong fragrance of verbena and citrus. It has a large, deep pink, non-fading bloom. Dee-Lish® is also a multiple award winner in Europe for disease resistance and aesthetics. Displayed as a tree rose in design garden.

8. Francis Meilland®
A tall Hybrid Tea Rose with a very large bloom and strong fragrance. The pink flowers turn white as the rose ages. It has won multiple awards in Europe.

9. Iceberg
One of the top performers of all time. Truly vigorous and hardy, this rose will bloom throughout the summer. Displayed as a tree rose in design garden.

10. Princesse Charlene de Monaco®
A beautiful Hybrid Tea type. Its very fragrant flowers are fully double and light apricot to shell pink in color. It has excellent disease resistance for the type and makes a good choice for use as a cut flower.

11. Romantica® Ball Gown™
As full and captivating as the most beautiful ball gown, this lush pink rose opens with over 100 petals per bloom! Its intense fragrance can be described as classic rose with notes of grass and powder.

12. Yves Piaget®
Named for the famous Swiss clockmaker who crafts the trophy for the best rose in the Geneva rose competition. Perfectly combines old-fashioned form, strong color and rich fragrance on a plant that continuously blooms. Displayed as a tree rose in design garden.
