The Head Over Heels® Hibiscus Series includes five varieties in a range of tropical colors: Adore™, Blush, Desire™, Dream™, and Passion™. Each plant blooms abundantly through the summer with large flowers that are 10-inches wide.
These Hibiscus grow to about 3-feet tall and 4-feet wide, which gives them a semi-compact habit and increases their versatility. You can include them throughout your garden or even add them to a large container for an easy patio statement.
Hibiscus should be grown in full sun and are hardy in zones 4–10.
Here’s how you can use Hibiscus to create a tropical garden for yourself:
1. Choose The Color Palette
Our Hibiscus come in five shades of red, pink, and white, with extra visual interest courtesy of the deep, jewel-toned eyes.
Think about the impact you want to achieve. Mixing a few varieties adds contrast and gives a playful feel, while choosing a mass planting of the same color makes the biggest impact!
2. Consider The Pollinators
The vibrant color and pronounced pollen make Hibiscus blooms a bee and butterfly magnet! You can encourage additional friendly winged visitors to visit your space by incorporating other plants that pollinators find alluring.
Bee Balm, like this Balmy™ Series from Bloomables®, is a great option that comes in numerous tropical colors!
3. Contain The Excitement
While we’re not all blessed with an outdoor pool or acres of gardening space, everyone can enjoy Head Over Heels® Hibiscus because they are compact enough to grow in containers.
Try adding a few tropical planters to your patio to create a mini oasis you can enjoy every day.
